Catherine Balfour-Roberts
Kindred Celebrancy
Your story. Your voice. Your way. A celebrant based in Teddington.
I am a Teddington based celebrant, working across south west London. I create thoughtful, personal ceremonies that feel genuine, well held, and true to the people at the heart of every story.
Family and friendship are central to my life. I am married and have two grown up daughters. Watching them find their own paths has been one of life's privileges, and has deeply influenced how I listen, care and connect with others. I value the moments that bring people together, and this sense of connection underpins everything I do.
Before training as a celebrant, I spent over thirty years working in education as a class teacher, deputy headteacher and senior lecturer. This experience shaped a calm, organised and people centred approach, grounded in clear communication, careful listening and an understanding of how important it is to feel heard and supported. These qualities are a natural foundation to my work as a celebrant.
I am naturally sociable and love spending time with people, enjoying conversation, shared laughter, and the sense of ease that comes from being fully present with others. People describe me as warm and smiley, with a real love for life, and I bring this same openness and energy to the relationships I build and the ceremonies I lead.
At the heart of my work is the celebration of love and the way it shapes every ceremony. It would be a privilege to work with you to create something meaningful, personal, and lasting.
